Women's shopping habits linked to periods.

Wow. Periods control our lives. First there are the hormones, the emotional crying, the bloating, the cat fights, and the eating of pints and pints of Haagen-Dazs coffee ice cream.. ok maybe that last part is just me all the time.. so now it turns out shopping sprees are linked as well..

Most of the purchases made by the women were for adornment, including jewellery, make-up and high heels.

TV Recap for this week

A quick recap of this past week's tv and this season (i guess?)

So my TV watching has whittled down to a few - ok so i used to watch a LOT of tv (Gossip Girl, South Park, Family Guy, The Office, Grey's Anatomy, 30 Rock)
Continue to read my comments about these shows... (possible spoiler alert!)


1. Gossip Girl

I have been watching Gossip Girl since it first aired.. the first couple seasons were addicting and essentially guilty pleasures... but now in the third (? - can't keep track, the writer's strike really messed up my TV circadium rhythm) season, GG has pretty much tanked for me.. Blair is being ridiculous, Dan is just annoying, Serena is trying way too hard.. the only things that i actually like about the series are Chuck (drool) and Lily and Rufus (but even then, it gets too gooey).. so.. i'll keep watching for a few more episodes but if it tanks more than it is now, PEW PEW to that..

2. South Park

South Park hit some good parallels with the economy and God, Kyle and Jesus.. i even chucked at the "paying debts" part.. overall, it was just ok....

3. Family Guy

Family Guy has declined recently, filling in time with random useless NOT funny crap like that 5 min clip of that old guy singing... however there a few things that cracked me up in the last few episodes, like in Family Gay, when Cleveland falls out of the bathtub, the way the brain-damaged horse is running in the race.. and definitely "Guilty!!" hahahha But the past two episodes, the OJ one and the FOX-y lady one were totally misses.. kinda disappointing.. the writers need to get better material.. btw.. the "Run Home,Lois. Run as fast as you can" reference to Charlie and the Chocolate factory has totally been done before with Peter in that beer factory episode.. goodness..

4. The Office

Seasons 1 and 2 were fantastic!! Season 3 on the other hand, omg.. it was hard to watch one of my favorite shows degrade itself as much as it did... it became sad, depressing, and most of all, NOT funny.. i understand they were trying to develop plot and characters but they can easily do that while still keeping it funny, it is still comedy series.. BUT i am totally happy to say that season 4 has come back strong! They've come back to the essential little things-ness that made me first love the Office.. for example, the fact that Michael put the golden tickets in the same shipment of papers and Michael trying to start his own paper company and the suggestions for Michael's anniversary party like..

Pam: And then out of that cake pops another stripper holding a smaller cake and then an even smaller stripper pops out of that one.
Micheal Scott: What is the smaller stripper holding?
Pam: A cupcake.

5. Grey's Anatomy

Grey's Anatomy is always sooo addictive.. you can't just watch one episode.. there are no terribly bad episodes.. and this one was a particularly relieving one.. it single-handedly tied up a lot of loose plot ends.. Owen finally comes to terms to fix his PTSD, Meredith and Derek are finally engaged, Lizzie undergoes surgery, Derek does his first surgery after his weird hole out in his trailer, and Alex finally jizzes in a cup (i dunno, it kept bothering how it took him so long to do it).. overall a very satisfying episode.. makes me feel all warm and gooey inside...

6. 30 ROCK!!!

30 Rock is killing it!! hahah.. A few of my personal favorites (because they're so many i can't name them all)
1. When Jack hurts Frank for his own good and hits him with the magazine and Frank lumbers away like the yeti.
2. When Liz imitates Jack with a raspy voice, then she loses it and sounds like Batman.
3. Bijou and then Lutz's "WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!" reaction when Jack jacks.
4. "Fat neck girls, let me count your neck rings"
5. Kenneth's attempts to hug people.
6. Jenna's pawing at the window as Janis Joplin
7. "I really don't think it's fair to be on the jury because I'm a hologram"..."Charles-what-now?"

Cop on Blackberry in Car = Accident

Seriously? SERIOUSLY?!! so Police Chief Brian Wilson, of Washington, issued a public apology after his police cruiser crashed into another car when he was looking at his Blackberry instead of the road..

On March 18, Chief Wilson was at a red light when he took his foot off the brake to check his e-mail and news updates on his BlackBerry, causing his unmarked police car to move forward and rear-end the vehicle in front of him. It is reported that soon after, Chief Wilson, who was given a verbal reprimand but not a ticket,declared that he was "mortified" at the situation.

NO TICKET?!! I really wish I had that WTF? stamp so I can stamp his face!! and car, and blackberry...

Breathe a sigh of relief Alfie..

I'm not sure if any of you had heard of the 13-year old kid, Alfie Patten who, a while back, made news when he became a father to a nasty form of spawn by mating with that ogre on the right.. well it turns out that DNA testing showed that Alfie was not the father... and also we find out for sure that ogres are indeed cheating whores...

A DNA test showed a 13-year-old boy in Britain is not the father of a baby born to a 15-year-old he had unprotected sex with once.


Chantelle Stedman told Alfie Patten, who was 12 when he slept with her, he was her newborn daughter Maisie's father.

At first Stedman said Patten was the only boy she had ever slept with, but soon after other teens came forward saying they too could be the baby's father, because they claimed to have had sex with the girl.

It is still not clear who the baby's father is.

Hilarious Exam Papers = I love it

I love finding these random exam papers that cheeky little youngsters have handed into teachers over the years.. i've done so myself.. drawing cows and other random farm animals in lieu of answers that i just didn't know... i think one particularly good drawing earned me a 0.5 credit.. Kaching!!

Disappointing end of a rainbow... poo..

This is a great photo taken with an iphone.. seriously.. pics taken on the iphone suck.. but even worse is that here we see the end of a rainbow has neither a pot of gold or leprechauns.. but just a measly highway and what appears to be an Escalade.. that just sucks.. I remember trying to find the end of a rainbow by running towards it until i got tired (which was just usually the end of my block)...

this reminds me of the time i found out the toothfairy wasn't real... i had pulled my own tooth out when i was 6 and put it under my pillow without telling my parents.. after a week... no dough... then when i finally tell them i lost a tooth, that night, I see my dad clumsily fumbling around in the dark and shoving money under my pillow.. then when i confront them about it the next morning.. they admitted that the game was up and now that i was old enough to find out the tooth fairy wasn't real, i never got any money for the rest of the teeth i lost... FML!

Boom in the Box: Mythbusters!

Mythbusters explosion breaks windows in Esparto, CA.

I love mythbusters. They actually answer a lot of questions i've been pondering about throughout my life, like while escaping from prison you can climb down a wall using a rope made of toilet paper, getting slapped in the face will help a drunk person sober up, the toilet seat is the cleanest place in your house -- which ALL were tested to be TRUE btw..

So, the most current myth they were trying to bust was that an explosion can be strong enough to knock off your socks... Mythbusters detonated 500 pounds of ammonium nitrate a mile outside of Esparto, California. Perhaps they should have moved out to two miles. I dunno what happened to the socks, but the explosion managed to break windows through Esparto and also tossed a woman off the couch. Afterwards, she claimed that the experience was "fun, really fun." What a trooper..

Well the awesome Mythbusters crew replaced all the windows the same day and the general sentiment around town was generally positive (even though no one in the town was informed of the taping beforehand)... I wish I could be randomly tossed off my couch for kicks, but nothing fun like that ever happens to me.. =(... the only time i was ever 'tossed' was when i was tossed out of my library when I was 12 for being too loud...

WTF? Stamp = I want it

I sooo sooo soooooo want this WTF? stamp.. it encompasses 90% of my reactions throughout an average day in my life. I would probably need about 982734910837 of these. It reminds me of the BULLSHIT stamp my AP US teacher had in high school, which I basically saw on all my tests.. no joke.. anywayz.. i can already think of a few places I would use this stamp on.. for example, tax forms, crappy old civics with spinners, the whole committee of AIG execs, lindsay lohan, amy winehouse, little 8 year old girls who carry around louis vuitton bags and pay for caramel frappuccinos with a credit card, just to name a few.

On a side note, you know emoticons, which are like faces that express an emotion.. has anyone made a WTF? face yet? I imagine they would resemble some of these faces...
